While building a soybean herbicide program is not a new task for producers, recent changes in trait packages, application windows, and herbicide resistance challenges have required growers to adjust and adapt more than ever. At QLF Agronomy we strive to research and develop the products that bring added value to your tank mix program. As application costs rise due to equipment and fuel price increases, growers are continually motivated to add value and ROI opportunities to each pass they make through the field.

As a growing percentage of farmers transition to the Enlist One® and Enlist Duo® herbicide programs from Corteva™, QLF Agronomy has found a precise fit as a tank mix partner. QLF’s L-CBF BOOST™ is a tested and approved tank mix partner that not only improves coverage and herbicide efficacy, but also enhances herbicide metabolism, plant health, and yield potential of Enlist E3® soybeans. (As with any tank mix, it is important to preform your own jar tests with your own water and herbicides because variables can vary between operations.)

L-CBF BOOST™ increases herbicide efficacy by reducing the drift potential of a tank mix and breaking surface tension to allow for better coverage of the leaf cuticle. Through Dr. Greg Kruger’s wind tunnel research study, at the University of Nebraska West Central Research Center, L-CBF BOOST showed an improvement in droplet size and uniformity to reduce drift volume by up to 7%. Additionally, BOOST acts as a humectant to keep applications wet through the duration of their uptake.

When we assess the yield gains of +4-6 bushels per acre. We attribute a portion of these bushels to improved plant health and herbicide metabolism, and the latter portion to increased soil biological activity and nutrient availability. Uptake, translocation, metabolism, and excretion of an herbicide is a taxing energy event to the biological processes of a soybean plant. Supplementing biology with the readily available carbohydrates and foliar nutrition in L-CBF BOOST will reduce visual crop injury, and promote enhanced biomass in all regrowth.

L-CBF BOOST can be placed in nearly all spray programs to bring additional return on investment to trips you are already making over your crop. Contact your local QLF Agronomy dealer or Regional Sales Agronomist (RSA) for specifics on applications rates and timing.
