Field Technical Support

We are looking for team-oriented people who will help us continue to expand and grow. Duties and responsibilities: The position of field technical support is to provide support and sales of QLF products on-farm including liquid feed supplements for dairy and beef cattle, agronomy products, and blocks. This position will focus on the QLF TMR Quality Control Program that focuses on providing value to customers and prospects through on farm analysis of feeding systems. This position’s core responsibilities will be showcase QLF as a visible leader in the analysis of feed systems and programs. This would include multiple on farm visits each week to collect data and return visits to present findings of this data. Technology used would include shaker boxes, portable cameras systems (Go Pros and time lapse cameras), and other analysis tools to evaluate on-farm feed systems. Coordinate with QLF Regional staff to follow with prospects to implement QLF products. Focus on an on-farm presence for QLF and develop a relationship with key dairy producers. This will include an organized method of tracking producers and daily contacts. This will include on-farm trouble shooting of dairy rations and management. Equipment set-up and/or maintenance (pumps, hoses, fittings). Provide nutritional expertise for dairy producer customers, their consultants and potential marketing partners.

Required: Preference given to candidates with experience on dairy farms and interacting with dairy producers. Farm, especially dairy, experience will be a key consideration. Proficient at basic computer skills: email, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills. Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, work under deadlines, and function well as part of a team. Must have knowledge of experimental design and interpretation of research data. Candidate must be comfortable with on-farm conditions (i.e. working with cattle, farm machinery, etc.) Must have a reliable vehicle, proof of insurance and maintain a valid driver s license with satisfactory driving record. Must be able to travel independently and overnight when necessary.

Education: Bachelor’s level agricultural degree preferred in animal science or related field; or equivalent experience.
