This individual will be responsible for assisting with laboratory, field R&D and greenhouse efforts for our liquid feed animal nutrition and agronomy. QLF is committed to supporting American Agriculture with the highest quality products. This individual will use a variety of analytical equipment found in a typical nutrition and/or soils analytical laboratory with a focus on iCAP7000 series instrumentation, HPLC, NIR, and other supporting equipment in an R&D setting. This individual will evaluate fertilizers and plant growth, assist with routine care of plants as well as the actual greenhouse structure and special projects as needed.
This individual should have experience troubleshooting equipment and independently analyzing test results while making adjustments as necessary. In addition the ability to think outside the box, creative problem solving skills, positive energy, great oral and written communication skills. To perform this job effectively this individual needs to have advanced mathematical skills, including statistics, strong understanding of cGMP procedures and a high attention to detail for record keeping of all activities
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Animal Science or Agronomy is required. A Master’s Degree in a relevant field or 3 to 5 years of analytical laboratoy experience is preferred. Candidates should also be able to lift up to 100 pounds on a limited basis and work in varying environments. Physical activities can extend to outside functions such as collecting samples and date from research and greenhouse center, agronomy fields, manufacturing plants, ingredient supplies, mills and livestock operations. This position requires contact with hazardous materials while following proper PPE for safety.
